Who we help
Struggles 2 Smuggles is a remarkable charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged families, individuals, and homeless individuals in South Wales. Our mission is two-fold: to provide low-cost or free street food meals to the community and to address the pressing issues of food waste and food insecurity. Through our tireless efforts, we not only ensure that nutritious meals reach those in need but also contribute to reducing food waste.
Our incredible organisation goes beyond our humanitarian work by offering training opportunities to young people from the Roma Gypsy community and young offenders leaving Juvenile/YOI Establishments. By empowering these young individuals with valuable skills, we pave the way for a brighter future. These training programs are tailored to meet the specific needs of our participants, providing them with practical experience in the culinary arts, food safety, and business management. This hands-on approach not only equips them with essential skills but also boosts their confidence and enhances their employability.
In addition to our training programs, we actively engage with local businesses, schools, and community groups to raise awareness about food waste and food insecurity. Through educational workshops, community events, and partnerships, we foster a culture of sustainability and social responsibility. Our outreach initiatives aim to create a more informed and compassionate community that is committed to supporting its most vulnerable members.
Struggles 2 Smuggles is truly a beacon of hope, promoting inclusivity and making a lasting impact in the community. Our dedication to bridging gaps and building stronger connections within South Wales is evident in every meal we serve and every individual we empower. By addressing immediate needs and investing in long-term solutions, we are not only transforming lives but also inspiring a movement towards a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
